Marco Lodola

“I want to create works that belong to everyone, to life, to everyday life. Works that live with people, at their side, in their environment”

Marco Lodola is born in Pavia and he takes his graduation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Milan with a master thesis on the school of the Fauves and Matisse - a fundamental reference point for his works like the masters Fortunato Depero and Beato Angelico. After that, in the early 1980s he founds the "New Futurism" movement in Milan of which the critic Renato Barilli is the main theoretician. From this moment on his artistic career has an unprecedented turning point so much so that today he exhibits throughout the world from Europe to America to Asia, working with important industries such as Swatch, Coca Cola, Vini Ferrari, Harley Davidson, Ducati, Valentino or Gambero Rosso. Among the most famous collaborations to mention there are the one with the Maison Dior for the setting up of their boutiques in Paris, Rome, New York and Singapore, and the one with Disney and Marvel Italia during the release of the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy". His bright sculptures become increasingly known and requested so much so to transform into immense installations placed in the main city squares such as in Montecarlo, Beijing, Riccione, Bologna, Paestum, San Paolo del Brasile or the Versiliana.
